They spent several days in the Omaha and Lincoln area meeting with multiple Nebraska association leaders, including the Executive Director of the NWGGA. In addition to a presentation on the association and the state’s wine and grape industry, the meeting with the NWGGA also included lunch, a winery tour, and a tasting of Nebraska wines.
‘It was a fantastic occasion to speak to an international audience about the emerging Nebraska wine and grape industry,” said Jennifer Montgomery, NWGGA Executive Director. ‘The Republic of Georgia and Moldova are two of the oldest wine growing regions in the world and to be able to introduce representatives of those particular regions to what we’re doing here and how we’re supporting our industry was a one of a kind opportunity. I’m so pleased the US Commerce Department wanted us to be a part of their experience,” she said.
