From the Belleville News Democrat comes news of another winery fire, this time at Schoor Lake Vineyards in Waterloo, IL. Look for an upcoming column in Midwest Wine Press written by Mick McDowell, owner of Miletta Vista Winery in Nebraska. Miletta Vista was destroyed by a fire in 2012, but McDowell rebuilt the winery and even made it larger than the original facility. Mick’s column will include suggestions about how to protect your winery from natural disasters.
