Midwest Winery Dog of the Year Contest
Publisher’s Note: The last day for voting and the last day of the contest is Sunday, January 13, 2013. The Midwest Winery Dog of the Year winners will be published on January 18th.
Welcome to the first Midwest Winery Dog of the Year contest! You, the readers of Midwest Wine Press, will vote to determine which of the twenty winery dogs from across the region wins.
To vote, just click the winery dog in each round that you like the best. (If you can’t decide, there’s a place to click under the picture that says “I can’t decide.’) You will cast more than one vote in the contest. Each web page, including this webpage, shows two dogs you can vote for. To start voting, click on one of the dog pictures below.
There are twenty dogs in the contest. If you just want to admire the dogs without voting, there is a profile of each dog with a photo contained in these two links:
Midwest Winery Dog of the Year Contestants 1-10
Midwest Winery Dog of the Year Contestants 11-20
The Midwest Wine Press voting tabulation system will combine your votes with all the votes from other readers to determine the winner. The Midwest Wine Press Winery Dog of the Year will be announced during early 2013.
Special thanks to the winery dog owners in the Midwest who submitted photos.

Can’t vote for dog of choice. I can click and vote for the two dogs on page one, but the rest will not allow a click.
Great pictures!
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Please log off and log back on your browser. Clearing the cache can also help break internet log jams. We find Google Chrome works well with Midwest Wine Press. Please let me know if issues persist.
I’m having the same trouble too. It only displays two dogs for me. Am I missing something? 🙂
Erin,
We regret the voting problem which seems to be isolated. We’ll work on a fix and get back to you and Dave Anthony personally.
Thanks for reading Midwest Wine Press!
Erin,
Did you have success voting for two dogs that display on first screen of the contest?
Mark

I want to vote for Jackson, at Gills Pier Winery in Michigan, but it doesn’t let me click on him! He’s a pretty good dog!
Please see the new instructions, the dogs you can vote on are on the first page of the contest. After you vote once, a new pair of dog photos will appear.
Hmm,does that mean I can’t vote the first time for a dog on the second page?
Now I’m confused! If I understand the question correctly, you’re asking if you can skip a round of voting? The answer is “yes.” To skip a round of voting, click “I can’t decide” at the bottom and the system will go to next round.
Tried to vote and can’t! What’s up?
Please vote on the first page of the contest only. We also put pictures of all the dogs in two separate articles that don’t have voting which we admit is confusing. “Dogs 1-10” and “Dogs 11-20” are just for your viewing pleasure but not contest voting.
The site only lets one vote for one of two dogs and neither is my choice! My vote is for Sunny Patch from Berryville Vineyards!! If you are going to have a contest then let us vote for who we want, not narrow it down to two.
Keep voting and you will see all dogs, promise!
Hi Mark,
Happy New Year to you and your team! You deserve a big “Thank You” for all you’ve done to support the industry.
Cheers!
