New Cider Handbook From Scott Labs

2014 Cider HBThe second annual Scott Labs Cider Handbook has just been released.  This years’ edition features new products and new technical articles including:

  • Methods to Restart Stuck Cider Fermentations
  • The Basics of Post Fermentation Cider Clarification
  • Optimizing Nutrient Strategies for Healthy Fermentations

The 23 cider yeast strains Scott Labs offers are also described in detail with tips on suggested usage.  The 67 page bound, color book also contains information about cider Nutrients, Tannins, Enzymes, Malolactic Bacteria, Microbial Control Agents, Fining Agents, Filtration Equipment and Filter Media.

The cover graphics are again a work of art, but it’s hard to compete with the 32 glorious apple photos including the glittering Yellow Bellflower and the kaleidoscopic Chenango Strawberry.
