New Chicago Wine Trail Tour Company Opens

Evanston Cellars, LLC  has started offering guided tours of the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail and the Illinois River Wine Trail.   The nine-hour tours will leave from downtown Chicago and the North Shore suburbs.  While large bus companies do currently offer regional wine excursions from Chicago,  Evanston Cellars is the first Chicago company dedicated to providing smaller, educational wine tours; similar to the types of tours that are popular on many Midwest wine trails.

Evanston Cellars is the brainchild of Evanston, IL resident Dileep Gangolli and his wife Janice MacDonald.   According to Gangolli, ‘Most people, even serious wine aficionados, are not aware of the robust wine industry taking root here in the Midwest. Learning about wines and Midwest viticulture offers a fun and entertaining way to spend a day and we plan to be a leader in creating an appreciation for fine artisanal wines being produced in the Midwest.”   For more information visit http://www.evanstoncellars.com/
