Cider Summit Chicago Coming February 8th

The Midwest’s largest cider tasting event has expanded to two sessions on February 8th at Navy Pier in Chicago.  Cider Summit Chicago will feature over 90 ciders with one session beginning at 11:00 a.m. and the other beginning at 4:00 p.m.

‘It’s truly exciting to see the explosive cider category growth in the central region of the country over the last few years. Midwesterners no longer have to look elsewhere to find great cider producers,”  says Alan Shapiro of SBS Imports in Seattle, the organizer of Cider Summit Chicago.   (Shapiro also runs similar events in Seattle and Portland.)

This year, Cider Summit Chicago will feature cider from the U.S., England, New Zealand, Canada , France and Spain.  There will be 14 Midwest cider makes exhibiting their products at Cider Summit Chicago. The owners and cidermakers will be on hand to inform and guide guests through the samplings which will be available in 4-ounce portions.
