These photos don’t have anything to do with grapes or wine.  However, after reading an editorial in today’s Chicago Tribune questioning why anyone would live here, I felt compelled to speak for those of us who enjoy snowstorms.  (Sub-zero cold is another matter.)

If it wasn’t cold here, the Great Lakes would not exist. So why not take a stroll down to the Lake for a few shots of our inland sea in its natural winter state?
