Crooked Vine Winery Will Open October 19th

As reported in Midwest Wine Press, a new wine producing area is taking root in Northern Michigan and we don’t mean the Traverse City area. The Petoskey News ran a story this week that Geoff and Gail Frey will be opening Crooked Vine Vineyard Winery later this month. See: New Winery To Open in Alanson
After tasting Crooked Vines’ Frontenac Gris and Marquette this summer, it’s apparent the University of Minnesota grapes are well suited to the climate of Northern Michigan which is more severe that the Leelanau or Old Mission Peninsula.
