Wis., Missouri Named Best Undiscovered Regions
On October 5th, an endorsement of Missouri and Wisconsin wine appeared on Fox News’ national website. Written by New York travel writer Stefani Jackenthal, the web article picks the two Midwestern states as “The Best Wine Regions You’ve Never Heard Of.” The Wisconsin Grape Growers Association (WGGA) was quick to point out factual errors in story regarding the number of wineries in Wisconsin and the reported “regional specialties” which included Pinot Noir. Nevertheless, WGGA felt that having Wisconsin on the list was “good PR.”
