Back in September of 2013, Midwest Wine Press wrote an article lauding Brys Estate for their estate grown wine and commitment to Northern viticulture.  Among our many California readers must have been the folks at Wine Business Monthly Magazine who have selected Brys Estate as one of the “Top Ten Hot Brands.”

‘It’s such an honor to be selected for the Top 10 Hot Brands by industry professionals at Wine Business Monthly, especially as the only winery from the Midwest,” said Patrick Brys, Operations Manager at Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery.

“With so many wine types and varietals to choose from, this industry leading publication selected our Dry Riesling as one of only ten wines they think all winemakers should taste this year,” he commented.’

In the history of the Top 10 Hot Brands, our Dry Riesling is only the second Michigan wine to receive this peer recognition. It is a tremendous complement to our winemaker, staff and winery and an honor to proudly represent the Old Mission Peninsula wine region, Traverse City and the State of Michigan.

Editors note:  In addition to the wine, I also like the classy tasting room at Brys Estate.  The upscale vibe contrasts nicely with the more informal wineries on the Leelanau Peninsula.  You do pay more for the Brys Estate “experience,” but if you’re willing to spend more to have the elegant ambiance, it’s worth it.  The tasting room staff is also top notch.
