VitiNord 2015 Location Announced
VitiNord is an International Viticulture & Enology conference that happens every three years. This conference focuses on research and practices being used in Northern wine growing climates. Speakers from around the globe will share strategies and information that you can use in your own vineyard and or winery.
“Nebraska City was selected as it is centrally located and easy to connect to by air for our European and Asian participants,” said Tom Plocher, a founding member of the International Association of Northern Viticulture. “We have had conference guests in the past from twelve to fifteen countries representing North America, Europe, and Asia. We expect that again,” Plocher said.
Max MacFarland, the VitiNord 2015 Conference Coordinator, said this conference is a “must attend” for anyone involved in growing cold hardy grapes. “We are thrilled that the International Association of Northern Viticulture has chosen to come to
the United States and even more excited that Nebraska City was selected as the host of VitiNord 2015,” MacFarland said.
“It is a great forum for vineyard and winery owners as well as viticulture and enology academics to come together in a very relaxed setting to discuss best practices being used around the world,” MacFarland concluded.
