Piero Spada Wine & Grape Classes at NWTC

Midwest Wine Press regular columnist and Wine Consultant, Piero Spada has added two new jobs to his rapidly growing resumé. Piero will be teaching Introduction to Enology and Introduction to Viticulture for Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) starting this fall. These classes will be completely online — applicants are welcome from any location.

Introduction to Enology will cover the basics of winemaking, from crush to bottling, as well as familiarization with wines from around the world. Introduction to Viticulture will examine the botany of grapes, the process of grape growing, as well as the mechanics of setting up a vineyard.

These classes can be taken for continuing education or can be applied towards one or two year degrees in Enology and/or Viticulture from NWTC and VESTA.
