Chateau Grand Traverse Riesling Named “Top Wine” by Food and Wine Magazine
The 2010 Chateau Grand Traverse Whole Cluster Riesling was included in Food and Wine magazine’s top wines by editor Megan Krigbaum. Food and Wine has a circulation of 375,000 and is one of the most popular culinary magazines in the U.S. Chateau Grand Traverse in Traverse City was the only non-California U.S. wine selected. The Michigan Riesling was also the least expensive wine on the list. In fact, a case of Chateau Grand Traverse Riesling could be purchased for same price as one bottle of the most expensive wine on the Food and Wine’s list, a $175 per bottle ’07 Clos Erasmus Grenache. (MWP would take Chateau Grand Traverse over Clos Erasmus straight up though.)
