Freeze Damage At Wollersheim Extensive

The Wisconsin State Journal reports that Wollersheim Winery,  Wisconsin’s largest winery and largest estate winery,  sustained significant crop damage this week.   The WSJ story also includes a slightly more optimistic assessment from Sara Botham at Botham Vineyards and Winery only 25 miles south of Wollersheim.   Frost, like fog, seems to come in on cat’s feet; hitting one area hard while sparing another.   (Apologies to Carl Sandberg.)  http://host.madison.com/wsj/business/frost-wreaks-havoc-on-wollersheim-vines/article_f995fc08-8503-11e1-84b5-0019bb2963f4.html  (Apologies to Carl Sandberg.)
