NPR Nails Midwest Wine Dilemma
Back in February, the NPR affiliated program Science Friday ran a piece on wine psychology. The entire clip is worth viewing, but at about 1:46 in the video, Dr. Brian Wansink, Director of the Cornell University Food and Brand Lab, provides a dramatic example of why it’s hard to sell a bottle of wine from an emerging wine region to a consumer.
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: To compete, the Midwest needs to come together with a consistent message about the quality of our wines.
