Midwest Dominates Pacific Rim Wine Competition

Midwest wineries are the best road team in wine. Whenever our regional wineries go to national wine contests recently, a significant portion of the medals wind up coming back to the Midwest.   The Midwest winery winning streak continued at The Pacific Rim Wine Competition, in Orange County, on April 24 and April 25.

Here are the Midwest wineries that won Gold/Best of Class at Pacific Rim. (Dozens of others picked up various other awards.):

2011 Merlot (yes, a Michigan winery won the Merlot category.)

2012 Sweet Riesling

2012 Pinot Blanc

Please see the Pacific Rim Competition website:

Many Midwest wineries medaled at Pacific Rim, we wish we could publish them all but we only listed “Best of Class” winners.
