MO’s Annie Gunn’s Prepares James Beard Dinner

Annie Gunn’s restaurant in Chesterfield, MO recently prepared a dinner at the James Beard House in New York and paired the food with Missouri wines. Glenn Bardgett, CS, CSW, and wine director at Annie Gunn’s, selected the Missouri wines for the dinner.

Bardgett joined the suburban St. Louis restaurant in 2001. Annie Gunn’s was one of the first upscale, culinary restaurants to put Midwest wine on the wine list. Annie Gunn’s currently serves 25 Missouri wines including Nortons from six different Missouri wineries.

Annie Gunn’s has won the Wine Spectator “Best of Excellence” award and Bardgett has been a James Beard Award semi-finalist in recognition of his outstanding wine service at Annie Gunn’s.
