Nick Smith Starts at University of Wisconsin

From the Big Ten Network comes a new story about new University of Wisconsin enologist Nick Smith. Nick’s winemaking articles in Midwest Wine Press have attracted thousands of readers. The article gives the impression that Nick is the first person to work in a wine related capacity for the University, which is not true.  Nick’s hiring does seem to signal a shift from a grape growing to a winemaking focus.  If anyone knows what’s happening with the University’s experimental vineyards, please comment.
