Chankaska Creek Named Best Minnesota Winery
Chankaska Creek Ranch and Winery was recently named ‘Best Minnesota Winery of 2015″ by the Star Tribune. With over 100 categories, Star Tribune’s Best of Minnesota awards recognize a prestigious group who represent this state.
‘We are very honored and proud to have received this recognition. Chankaska has come a long way since we opened in 2012 and we give special thanks to our winery members and guests who have continued to support us along the way.” says Chankaska’s General Manager, Jane Schwickert.
The Marquette Reserve, one of Chankaska’s premium wines received praise from the Star Tribune for being delicious and robust and ‘“is not only worth its $34 price tag, but might be a bargain.” The Marquette Reserve is just one of Chankaska’s numerous award-winning wines. Additionally, the North Forest Valnot Krem, the 2014 Sauvignon Blanc and the 2013 Kasota Rose have been recognized at International Wine Competitions.

Chankaska Creek Ranch and Winery is a cold-climate vineyard and winery located in the heart of the Minnesota River valley in Kasota, MN. The winery is home to a seven-acre vineyard and a 12,000 square foot facility complete with state of the art equipment which allows for artisan winemaking techniques with. The tasting room opened in May 2012. Chankaska Wines produced approximately 8,500 cases last year and projects close to 10,000 cases this year.
