Cold Climate Grapes on the Upswing

Bill Ward of the Minneapolis Star Tribune is a shoo in for the Midwest wine writer Hall of Fame.  Mark Fisher of the Dayton Daily News would also be eligible for induction as would Doug Frost who writes occasionally for the The Kansas City Star.  All these wine writers are heavyweights who mix coverage of established wine regions with coverage of the Midwest wine industry.

Bill wrote a great story about cold climate grapes this week in the Star-Tribune. Lorri Hathaway’s comment to Bill caught my attention as a tactful admission that two consecutive years without much of a harvest is going to result in a re-messaging of Midwest regional wine.
