Aurora Cellars Joins Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail

Leelanau Peninsula’s newest winery, Aurora Cellars, opened on July 3, 2014. The winery is located in Lake Leelanau on the Northern Loop of the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail. Aurora Cellars is the 25th winery on the trail.
Owners David and Faye Mathia opened Aurora Cellars in the former Circa Estate Winery, which closed in January of 2013. Brother and sister Sam and Taylor Simpson of Good Harbor Vineyards of Lake Leelanau are consulting with the Mathias on all aspects of the new winery.
