IGGVA Seeking New Executive Director

The Illinois Grape Growers & Vintners Association is seeking a full time Executive Director. The Association is governed by a 12-member Statewide Board of Directors. The Executive Director maintains an active and continuous communication and consultation with the Board of Directors; directs and supervises the activities of the administrative staff; oversees the planning and execution of Board meetings, retreats and committee meetings; develops an annual work plan and operating budget, which upon consensus of the Board submit to grant funding agencies; travels frequently to meet with grape and wine industry members throughout Illinois and to execute programs and festivals, develop support and maintain cohesiveness of the industry; serves as the Illinois grape and wine industry’s lobbyist. Mark Ganchiff is the publisher of Midwest Wine Press, the leading source of news on the growing wine industry in the central United States.
