Nebraska Reports Limited Winter Damage

From Nebraska’s VineLines, which is produced by the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, comes a positive report about grape vine freeze damage.  The University recently checked buds and canes and found no significant damage.

However, SE Lincoln Weather Reporting Station data shows that eastern Nebraska has escaped much of the horrendous cold that has plagued the Midwest this winter. In fact, last night was the coldest night of the year in Lincoln with a low of -6.  For many areas, a six below low temperature would be something of a heat wave this year.
