LPVA Offers Scholarships for 2014

The Leelanau Peninsula Vintners Association (LPVA) awards annual scholarships to students interested in pursuing a certificate or associate’s degree in viticulture and/or enology via the Viticulture Enology Science and Technology Alliance (VESTA)

The number of awards vary from year to year. For the 2014-2015 academic year, there are four $1,000 scholarships available.

The scholarship is named after Bruce Simpson, founder and winemaker at Leelanau’s Good Harbor Vineyards who died in 2009.  Simpson’s wife, Debbie, and his children, Sam and Taylor now operate the winery.
