Chicago Tribune: “Michigan Wines are Exceptional”
In a forceful article this week, Bill St. John, wine writer of The Chicago Tribune, suddenly became decidedly in favor of Northern Michigan wines. St. John, who has mostly avoided Midwest wines in his Tribune columns writes, “From my experience and perspective, the degree of pooh-poohing done by none Michigan wine-erati over the wines of Michigan is inversely proportionate to the progression in quality of those same wines.”
Thank you Bill for issuing a wake up call to Chicagoans. The Midwest’s biggest market needs to retire old stereotypes about Michigan wines and taste what’s going on now in the state across the Lake.
