The Wisconsin winery was also awarded a Gold Medal for their 2011 Marquette Wine. More than 1,150 wines were entered in the competition.

‘This is a terrific success not only for our Southern Wisconsin winery, but for our state’s Wine Industry in general,” said Alwyn Fitzgerald, Fisher King’s owner and winemaker. “A win here really shows how a wine stacks up against other producers from around the country,” Fitzgerald reflected, ‘It demonstrates how Wisconsin has emerged on the national stage as a high quality wine producing region. It also speaks to the quality and abilities of our local growers. The grapes used in our Gold-medal Marquette were grown in Vernon County Wisconsin at the Aderman and Olson vineyards,” he said.
