Chicago Foodie reported on April 1st, that Traverse City, Michigan had been given the prestigious French Appellation D’origine Controlee (AOC) designation. The prank would have been better if Chicago Foodie would have referred to an actual wine producing region in Northern Michigan rather than Traverse City.
