Kentucky Vineyard Society Receives Grant
According to Lowell Land, President of the Kentucky Vineyard Society (KVS), the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board has awarded KVS a grant that will fund Dr. Tom Cottrell and two field viticultural assistants at the University of Kentucky for the next two and one half years. KVS was founded in 1798 by John Dufour, winemaker for the Marquis de Lafayette, and re-established in 1980 as a non-profit educational organization to promote grape growing and winery establishment in Kentucky.
