Luedke Winery in Minn. Closes
The Princeton Union Eagle reported today that the owners of one Minnesota’s first vineyards have closed their winery. Luedke Winery and Berry Farm closed this month, but the vineyard, which has been producing wine grapes for 18 years, will remain. Harmon Luedke, age 71, told the Union Eagle that, “I had a lot of fun but I want to go back to driving horses and enjoying life.” The Luedke Winery opened in 1999. The full story, which includes a rather graphic description of a farm accident, can be found at http://unioneagle.com/2011/11/luedke-winery-closes/
